i.LEVEL Connect Setup

Once you have the API key from Shopify you will need to enter it into i.LEVEL Connect and set your preferences. The following section takes you through this process.

Setting up i.LEVEL Connect

If you notify support that you wish to connect to your Shopify account they will add the Shopify store to your account. In order to complete the linking process you will need to enter your Shopify API key into the system.

Some hosts may have the shopify store already added. Please check before requesting this.

You can do this via the Brand listing or via the Stores listing. Once in the store look for the 'Shopify Settings' tab.

Here you will need to enter the url to your Shopify API and the access key that you have generated. Once entered you can click the Test Connection button to check that the details are correct and validated.

The API URL must include the store URL as well as the additional details. Example: https://ilevel-demo.myshopify.com/admin/api/2023-01/ where "ilevel-demo" is your shop name. If you have problems when testing the connection, please check the URL and Access Key and if necessary go back through the steps in the Shopify Setup before contacting support.

tip

Check that you have not left a trailing space at the end of your url or access key. This could happen when copying and pasting and will affect the connection result.

To the right you will see a number of options which are described below:

Enabled Options

You can choose to enable order and stock sync.

Order Sync

This option will push all new orders to your linked Shopify.

Stock Sync

This option will pull stock from your linked Shopify account and update the stock in i.LEVEL Connect for any linked products.

Extra Options

You can choose to enable email alerts here.

Send Order Receipt

If this is checked then for each order sent to Shopify i.LEVEL Connect will send the flag to indicate that the order receipt email should be sent to the customer. If this value is not checked we will not send this flag. The default behaviour that you have set in Shopify will then be implemented.

Send Fulfillment Receipt

If this is checked then for each order sent to Shopify as fulfilled i.LEVEL Connect will send the flag to indicate that a fulfillent email should be sent to the customer. If this value is not checked we will not send this flag. The default behaviour that you have set in Shopify will then be implemented.

Do not check the Send Order Receipt or Send Fulfillment Receipt checkboxes unless specifically agreed with your host. Doing so may impact on customer service due to the host and your system BOTH sending emails to customers.

Main Location

This setting is important as it ensures that i.LEVEL Connect knows from which stock location to pull the stock figures.
