Downloading Products

Now that you have created the connection with Shopify, the next step is to import products. The purpose of this process is to allow the brand to curate the selection of products that they wish to upload and publish in the host website. The process can be run from the product listing.

You must ensure that the product data you intend to import is of a good quality. Products with variants that do not have unique SKU's and Barcodes will fail import. These are vital for the integration with the hosts platform.

Download Products from Shopify​

In the product listing under the Actions menu, select the option 'Import Products from Shopify'.

Choosing this option will display the following screen:

This screen is divided into three sections Search, Search Results and To-Create List

In the Search section you can search on a combination or individual fields for: Title, Product Type and SKU or you can search for a Collection. These two search types cannot be combined and you must clear one before using the other.

Clicking the Run Search button (you may have to tab out of the last entered field) will run the search and display the result in the 'Search Results' section.

Re-running the search will update the Search Results.

Search Results​

Once you have products in the Search Results listing you can then start to add them to the To-Create List. This is done by clicking the + Add button next to each product.

When you first add a product it will remove it from the search Results and add it to the To-Create List. However if you have done a new search products that you previously added may appear in the Search Result pane again. If you click add and the item is in the To-Create List an error will be generated as below. This will display at the top right of the screen.

Once you have added products to the To-Create List you can still remove them with the - Remove button which will put them back in the Search Results list.

Finally when you have a selection of products that you wish to download to i.LEVEL Connect press the 'Create Products' button at the bottom of the list. This will send the products to the server and these will be processed in the background.

Once the import is complete you will be sent a notification

Clicking on the notification will display the Import Results.

If a product has been imported successfully there will be a View Product link that will take you to the imported product. Otherwise, an error will be shown against the item. The most common error is that the product has previously been imported.

Having imported products, these will now appear in your product listing. From there you can continue with the process of pushing them to the enrichment listing for the target platform and completing the enrichment process.
