Order Processing & Stock Management
Order and stock management is done as automatic options based on the choices you made in the Shopify Connect Setup section.
Uploading Orders To Shopify
If you have elected to have orders sent to Shopify these will be sent automatically whenever they are downloaded from your Host's website.
Orders will be uploaded regardless of any stock policy. If orders cannot be fulfilled in your Shopify due to lack of stock you will need to cancel the orders in Shopify and manually in i.LEVEL Connect.
Updating Order Tracking
Once an order has been uploaded to Shopify the system will continue to poll that order for a status update until such time as the order has been shipped and tracking details can be obtained. This polling will continue for up to 20 days following the order having been sent to Shopify. If after 20 days the order has not been completed the order will be marked as cancelled within i.LEVEL Connect and no further polling will take place.
It is your responsibility to ensure that cancelled orders are also cancelled within i.LEVEL Connect.
Stock Synchronisation
For all the products that you have imported from Shopify to i.LEVEL Connect the system will regularily update the inventory levels from your chosen stock location within Shopify.
If you delete products within Shopify the system will no longer be able to update stock for those products. If there is stock present this may cause them to be sold on the host website and then create issues when the order is posted to Shopify. It is therefore vital that you zero your stock and ensure the zero quantities are synced before deletion or alternatively upload a file (See Stock Upload) to zero the stock following deletion.
